13:00 – Fun Ways to Boost Literacy in Your Classroom – for primary & pre-school teachers

What do stories, crafts or theatre plays have in common? LITERACY- a super skill that lies at the foundation of any child’s sustainable education. Whether you are following a systematic progressive literacy programme in your school or not, this workshop will empower and inspire you to transfer and use fun and effective Jolly Learning literacy activities with your kindergarten and primary school students.

14:00 – Reaching Higher – for secondary school teachers who prepare students for Cambridge B2/C1/C2 exams

Are you looking for fresh ideas on how to start the school year with meaningful, fun and flexible activities? In this practical webinar we will look at how we can guide B2/C1/C2 learners to expand their vocabulary range and reach a higher level of language competence. We will explore teaching strategies that help learners build up lexis and examine ways to push them to use newly learned vocabulary in their productive skills.

About the Speakers:

Vlaďka Skopkova is an English teacher and a teacher trainer. She has over 20 years’ experience of teaching both young learners and adults in a range of situations. She holds the Cambridge CELTA and DELTA. Vlaďka divides her time between teaching and teacher training. Currently, she has been teaching for a private language school as well as for an alternative primary school. As a teacher trainer she prepares sessions for various audiences and works for Macmillan Education.

Silvana Șerbănescu, UK Jolly Phonics professional Trainer and Consultant, experienced ESL teacher CELTA certified, is also the manager of the Jolly Star Learning Centre. She conducted tens of workshops across Romania and the Republic of Moldova on developing children’s reading and writing skills using Jolly Phonics, a fantastic synthetic phonics programme trusted by teachers and loved by children across the world, and validated by the British Department for Education.

Daniela Clarke is a teacher, teacher trainer, consultant and author. Formerly an HE lecturer, advanced practitioner and instructional coach in the UK, subsequently a teacher trainer and ELT consultant in the Czech Republic. Her teaching experience ranges from young learners to adults of all language levels and competences, and her teacher training experience covers CELTA, CertTESOL and Exam  Assessment courses. Daniela is especially interested in the theory of learning, motivational teaching strategies and tactile learning.
