Teaching values through fairy tales! – with MM Publications

What’s your favourite fairy tale and why? What values did you learn from fairy tales? Do you use fairy tales in your teaching?

Let’s discuss all these questions and see how we can use well-known fairy tales to expand our students’ imaginations, boost their cultural literacy, and teach them about making moral decisions, identifying right from wrong through implication, and facing consequences.

Besides making reading fun and teaching children about story structure, our aim as teachers of English should be to encourage students to develop a moral code upon which they will develop their role in basic desires, conflicts, and relationships in life.
