Emergent language, the spontaneous and unscripted language that our learners produce as they engage in communicative activities, is an important focus for language teachers to support and scaffold as part of the learning process.

In this session, we will explore essential techniques for proficiently listening to and documenting student language output, alongside strategies for delivering constructive feedback.

You will also gain invaluable insights into effectively practising and reinforcing emergent language, to ensure optimal retention and cultivate fluency and linguistic confidence in your younger learners.

Teodora Manole – Head of Teacher Training, IH Bucharest

Teodora has been working for IH Bucharest since 2010. She has a wide range of experience in teaching and training, having taught a variety of courses, focused on everything from Business English to exam preparation and YL groups. As Head of Teacher Training, she contributes to designing and implementing IH Bucharest’s INSETT programme, as well as overseeing our events for external teachers, such as the Coffee @ IH series.
